Dog sport
The American Staffordshire Terrier should give the impression of great strength for his size, a well put-together dog, muscular, but agile and graceful, keenly alive to his surroundings. He should be stocky, not long-legged or racy in outline. His courage is proverbial.
Dogsport is in my kennel the most important thing. My goal is to breed American Staffordshire Terriers, who have a great will to work and give all their power at work. This is more important to me, than champion titles on dog shows. It makes me happy and i feel a lot of joy to see my dogs having fun at dogsports and when they work. Our dogs are worked in different kind of work. Obedience, Tracking and Protection.
We ware not working only for fun, we are also attending exams with them. Our next goal is the IPO1 exam with Akilah. Our girl is on the best way to that.
I think that we should always keep in mind, that the AmStaff is not a working dog as a Rottweiler or German Shepard is, but a dog with great strong mentality and with very high intelligence. If you have in combination to that, a dog that has the right drive, than I am sure, that you can reach many goals in the dogsport world, even if the way to that may be a bit more difficult.
Whoever wants an AmStaff, that works good and loves to work, will have a lot of fun with dogs out of our kennel!
